South Coast Chamber Music opens its December concert with one of Beethoven’s earliest Piano Trios in celebration of the 250th anniversary of his birth on December 17,  1770. Violist Anna Griffis will perform Augusta Read Thomas’s touching “Incantation,” a brief meditation on loss and hope, before bewitchment concludes with Dvorak’s scintillating Piano Quartet No 2. Welcome, winter light!

Entrancement will be recorded in the New Bedford Whaling Museum’s Harbor Gallery, overlooking New Bedford Harbor. This will be the inaugural  performance of the Steinway piano, generously donated by Lisa Schmid Alvord and Joel Alvord.

Tickets are $10 per household.  All ticketed patrons will receive an email on November 21 containing instructions and a private link for access on YouTube. You will have access to this link for 30 days.
